The Challenge

Despite being only three years into its journey, this vibrant restaurant had promising growth
prospects and was one of the top-performing establishments in its category in the area. Like
many small businesses, this restaurant, with less than 50 employees, was striving to carve its
path to success.

Our Approach

Initially, AvVa assisted the restaurant owner in updating their financial reports and models to
better meet stakeholder requests. Upon receiving positive feedback, we were tasked with
identifying opportunities to reduce the restaurant’s expenses. In its third year, the restaurant
needed to balance its focus between growth and expenditure. We identified both strategic
and tactical opportunities to cut costs, save money, and even discovered a few bonus opportunities
to boost revenues.

The Challenge

Equipped with these new insights, the restaurant was able to cut down on key expenses,
confidently expand its sales force, and enhance profitability.

to understand the key drivers of
profitability. Management also had
specific questions about the
financial effectiveness of their sales
team. We constructed financial
models to provide insights on the
breakeven point for each major
product and helped the executives
understand the value and
opportunity generated by their sales
team.
